A shout out to ABC Home

Whenever I am in NYC I always take a visit to ABC Home, my home away from home. You can spend hours perusing the floors of design goodness. The business started in 1897 selling only carpets and has grown to an 8-story building in Manhattan's Flatiron district. Now they have an array of chic home furnishings and more treats like jewelry, fragrances and stationary..and oh so much more to see. All this to say they fancifully added a new line of carpets which i find is truly indicative of their history coming full circle. Check out these amazing carpets that go through 2 phases to get to be this hot. First they fade out the colors but keeping its design and then put them through a dye to get them to shout from your floors! Great way to revive your boring Persian carpets..from blah to AH!

Out with the old in with the new

As promised, here is a new example of a Craigs List find. An old dresser that I shook up to look new again. New knobs and a paint touch up. The perfect hallway drawer piece to put away papers, keys, purses, and warm wear (gloves, scarves, hats) for the winter months ahead.
