Stairs go on and on

I am still in love with original stairs. Ours are very boring and so these are such dynamic inspirations...found on Apartment Therapy this week, site.

Cuddle me pretty

Oh I am in love with these throws. I've been searching for over 4 weeks now for the perfect color-combo throws. Now that I found them at Echo Home, they seem to be out of stock...will they be available before the snow falls?

From Halloween blues to orange hues!

Now that halloween is over, orange takes on a new meaning. All the fun decorating with Pumpkins and fake cobwebs have to be taken down and thrown away. On the bright side, in comes orange in new shapes and forms! Look above: My clients often wonder what colors to paint their ceilings and its always a nice touch to add color to a room when your furniture is bare and uniform in color such a grays, whites, and beige. So try out a splash in a room to see the difference it can make. The photo was found on Apartment Therapy site with more examples of color on ceilings. Silent nights: The next photo is a great bedding from Yves Delormes outlet website, appropriately called Paprika. Wouldn't it be grand to come down from your sugar rush in these sheets? Don't mistake these for candy: finally a little bedaziling glow from Ippolita's Madeira Citrine drop earings.

TORONTO INTERNATIONAL ART FAIR October 28 - November 1, 2010

I went onto the TORONTO INTERNATIONAL ART FAIR site today and spent hours and i still haven't gone through all the galleries. Here are some highlights of the works i love that I had to share. Oh what fun it would be to hang these pieces. Oh yes, Shakedesign specializes in hanging works of art as well. My background in Art History hasn't left me yet. What better way to stay close to art than to hang them for my clients and help them arrange it on their walls. I found the ones you see on their sites...

Super Woman

This morning I woke up to a great interview with Kelly Wearstler. You can spend hours looking through the details of her work. Enjoy like i have for the last couple of hours:
http://www.kwid.com
Boy do i have a design crush on kwid.com!
Her color combos are insatiable and her style very addictive. Even her fashion sense is outstanding. I'm a true believer in none-matching patterns and colors lead to a canvas of delight.
Way to go Kelly! I honor you. Its brave in California, and to recreate this phenomenon of hers in Montreal would scare most clients. Wish I had her power of conviction to get my clients to lean in that direction too...maybe someday (wink wink).
